You gave me hyacinths first a year ago;
They called me the hyacinth girl.
Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
Looking into the heart of light, the silence.
- T. S. Eliot, The Wasteland
Hi, my name is (Ché) Frances Monro. I'm a dreamer in late thirties from Melbourne, Australia. I've been writing for over ten years and I've been published in fanzines and roleplaying forums such as Logres Weyr. More recently I have self published most of my work on Elfwood. In 2008 I commenced writing for a Second Life magazine called The Caledon Strand Magazine.
I mostly write science fiction and fantasy. I write about power and gender and small furry animals.
This is my personal web site, a place that links to all the Internet
resources about me. From here you can find out about my writing, see my profile of personal information, or visit my Facebook social
networking site. My blog mostly details my steampunk existance on Second Life where I am known as Bamika Easterman, and I run a Maid School. My Mailing List is Closed Circle. There's a list of links to less current projects managed by Bluedot.

Who is Mistress Bamika?
Bamika is a character I played on Tales of Ta'veran, a roleplaying game set in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time universe. In her homeland, Andor, Mistress is a polite title for a married woman. Bamika was a fun, amusing character - she was a serving girl who spoke with a thick accent and had a talent for knocking things over. When I needed a new email address "bamika" was taken, but "mistress_bamika" was available. The rest, as they say, is history.
